Director and Screenwriter
He is a director of his own kind, with an aggressive and irreverent style. Jota Aronak started his career making videoclips before daring to take first steps into the world of cinema. He made internationally awarded short films like Día de Perros, Bendita Masacre and ArenA. He wrote the scripts of motion pictures like Version7, 39 pisos, Banff and Wrath. Wrath (2017) was his very first film as a director and made him win the award for Best First FIlm in Toulousse Cinespaña Festival. He was also nominated in Seminci, in Festival Internacional de Cine Mar de Plata, in New York’s Independent Film Festival and in São Paulo. After the enthusiastic press reception, he debuts in commercial spaces and his films are broadcasted in digital platforms like Movistar, Filmin and Amazon.
